Santa Ana Art Walk: Worth It?

The Santa Ana art walk turns downtown into an open-air gallery on the first Saturday of every month. Expect a casual, slightly chaotic street party vibe with several blocks closed to traffic. Dozens of galleries, studios, and pop-up exhibits open their doors. You'll see a mix of local artists showing paintings, sculpture, photography, and street art. Crowds range from art students and hipsters to families and curious tourists. Music, food trucks, and bars add to the energy, but it can get loud and packed after 8pm.

Best time is March through May or September through November when the weather is comfortable for walking. Summers are brutally hot and the winter rains can shut things down.
