It’s compact enough to see in 2–3 hours at a relaxed pace but big enough that you’ll want comfortable shoes. The garden feels peaceful even when moderately busy; it never reaches theme-park density.

Best time is March–May when the spring blooms peak, or October–November for fall color and fewer crowds. Summer is hot and humid; winter is mild but many outdoor displays look sparse. Expect to pay around $25–35 for a standard adult ticket. Membership or reciprocal benefits can drop it significantly if you visit multiple gardens on a trip.

Honest tips: Prioritize the conservatory first thing in the morning before it gets crowded and steamy. Skip the overpriced on-site café and eat at the nearby restaurants on Piedmont Avenue instead.
