The Copernicus Science Center is a large, modern interactive museum focused on physics, biology, technology and the human body. Expect a busy, noisy environment full of school groups and families where you’ll spend most of your time experimenting at dozens of hands-on stations. The planetarium shows are the standout — clear, well-produced, and genuinely interesting even for adults. The whole visit usually takes 2.5 to 4 hours depending on how deeply you engage. It’s educational without feeling like school, but it can get crowded and overwhelming on weekends.
Best time to go is weekday mornings, especially outside summer holidays when the crowds thin out. Spring and autumn are ideal; winter can feel like a good indoor refuge but expect long queues at the ticket desk. Expect to pay around 25–40 zł per adult and 15–25 zł for kids, with slightly higher combined tickets that include a planetarium show. Family packages can bring the per-person cost down.
Tip: buy timed planetarium tickets online in advance and choose the first morning slot. Skip the temporary exhibitions on the top floor unless the topic genuinely interests you — they’re often less interactive and not worth the extra time. Focus instead on the permanent “Experiments” area and the rooftop garden if the weather is decent.
