The Corniche is a long, paved Atlantic promenade running through the Ain Diab district. Expect a wide walkway lined with palm trees, benches, and decent sea views, with a few beach clubs, cafes, and the occasional wave breaking against the rocks. It's pleasant for a relaxed stroll or jog but it's not a hidden world-class waterfront; most people cover the nicest stretch in 20-40 minutes. You'll see locals exercising, families out for air, and vendors selling snacks or drinks. The area feels fairly safe during daylight and early evening, though it gets quieter (and darker) after sunset.
Best time is spring or fall when the temperatures are mild and the wind isn't too strong; summer can be hot and humid, winter often windy. Expect to pay around $8-20 total per person if you walk independently, grab a coffee or fresh juice, and maybe share a taxi there and back from central Casablanca. A half-day guided city tour that includes a quick Corniche stop usually runs $35-70.
Tip: do it at sunset for the best light and atmosphere, then continue to a nearby beach club for a drink if you want to linger. Skip it if you're short on time or already visiting Rabat or Essaouira; the experience is nice but not essential. Combine with a swim or people-watching if the weather's good.
