Expect a short queue unless you buy a skip-the-line ticket. The cabins are spacious enough for families or couples, though they can get warm in summer.

Best time is late spring or early autumn on a clear weekday afternoon. Summer evenings are pretty but crowded and hotter inside the cabins; winter can be magical with Christmas markets below but expect cold cabins and possible closures in bad weather. Expect to pay around €17–€28 per person depending on whether you go for a basic ticket or one that skips the cashier line.
