Firefly Watching Near Kuala Lumpur: Worth It?

You board a small electric boat after dark and glide along a narrow river. For 20–30 minutes the mangroves light up with thousands of pulsing green lights in near-perfect rhythm. It’s genuinely beautiful when conditions are right, but it’s not a silent nature experience — there are other boats, some chatter, and occasional camera flashes from tourists. The whole trip usually takes 5–6 hours door-to-door including transfer time.
