Las Vegas fireworks are loud, bright, and usually part of a bigger event rather than standalone shows. Expect 10-20 minutes of bursts over the Strip, often synced to music you can barely hear unless you're close. The best views are from rooftops, high hotel rooms, or specific viewing areas around the Bellagio fountains or downtown. It's crowded, security is everywhere, and you'll be shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of people. New Year's Eve is the biggest by far, followed by July 4th and a few holiday weekends. Summer is peak season for these displays because of the warm weather, though it means dealing with 100+ degree nights.
Expect to pay around $50-150 per person depending on whether you're just staking out a spot on the Strip, grabbing a drink at a bar with a view, or buying a proper ticketed rooftop or boat experience. Free options exist but usually mean terrible sightlines and fighting crowds. Skip the generic "best view" bus tours that drive you around without stopping. Instead, pick a spot on the east side of the Strip near the High Roller for decent elevation without paying premium prices. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise, wear comfortable shoes, and have an exit plan because traffic and rideshares get ugly right after the finale.
