The Museum of Islamic Art in Doha holds one of the best collections of its kind in the world, covering 1,400 years of art from ceramics, metalwork, manuscripts, glass, textiles, and jewelry across three continents. A guided tour usually lasts 60–90 minutes and gives you context that solo wandering often misses, especially if you’re not already familiar with Islamic art. Expect a calm, beautifully lit space with high ceilings and very few crowds compared to European museums. The building itself, designed by I.M. Pei, is worth seeing from the outside too, especially at sunset over the water.
