Tours last about 90 minutes and are led by knowledgeable volunteer guides, many of them longtime members. It’s straightforward and informative rather than flashy. If you’re into sports or want a sense of Melbourne’s sporting culture, it’s genuinely interesting; if you’re not, it can feel a bit long.

Best time to visit is during the Australian winter (June–August) when the AFL season is on – the stadium feels alive. Summer tours are quieter but can be hot on the open stands. Expect to pay around $25–$45 for a standard tour; add $10–20 if you combine it with the Australian Sports Museum. Private tours sit at the higher end.
