Tours run on the hour in English or Spanish; they're straightforward and informative without being overly theatrical. The space is small enough that you won't get lost, but it can feel crowded when multiple groups overlap. There's also a pleasant café on site if you want coffee or a snack afterward.

Best time to visit is the dry season (December-April) when San José weather is more predictable and daytime highs aren't as punishing. Avoid peak holiday weeks if you dislike crowds.
