Scape Park is a sizable eco-adventure area carved out of the jungle and limestone terrain east of Punta Cana. Expect a mix of ziplining through the canopy, swimming in cenotes, short cave walks, and waterfall pools. The place gets busy with day-trippers; you'll spend a lot of time walking between attractions on uneven paths, so decent shoes and water shoes are useful. The cenotes and cave swim feel genuinely refreshing after the heat, while the longer zipline circuit gives decent views but nothing extreme. It's a full-day commitment once you factor in transport from your resort.
Best time is December through April when it's drier and slightly cooler. Rainy season (May-November) can make the trails slippery and some water features stronger, but also emptier. Expect to pay around $120–$190 per person for transport, entrance, and basic activity access; add-ons like photos or the longer zipline package push it higher. Private or small-group transport from Punta Cana resorts usually costs less hassle than the big bus tours.
Pick the cenotes and cave swim—they're the most enjoyable and less crowded early in the day. Skip the so-called "safari" or buggy ride if it's offered; it's short, loud, and not worth the extra money. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a dry bag for your phone, and go early to beat the crowds.
