Expect a modern, air-conditioned marine park with decent-sized habitats for dolphins, seals, penguins, and a few sharks. The shows are the main draw: clean, well-produced dolphin and sea lion performances that last about 20-25 minutes each. There are also rollercoasters and a few rides aimed at families. It’s smaller and calmer than the Florida version, which can be a plus in the desert heat. The place gets busy on weekends and during school holidays, so crowds and queues are very real if you go at peak times.
Best season is November to March when it’s cooler outside; you’ll still spend most of the day indoors but at least the walk between buildings won’t cook you. Expect to pay around $60–95 for a standard one-day ticket, more like $110–160 if you add express access or a meal package. Kids usually get a small discount.
Pick the dolphin show and the arctic penguin area; both are genuinely well done. Skip the thrill rides unless you specifically want them – they’re average and eat up time better spent at the animal exhibits. Bring your own snacks if you can; the on-site food is decent but overpriced even by theme-park standards.
