The SkyView is a giant observation wheel right next to Centennial Olympic Park. Each enclosed gondola holds up to six people and takes about 15-20 minutes for a full rotation. The views are genuinely good once you're high up — you get a solid 360° look at downtown Atlanta, the stadiums, and the skyline. It's smooth and climate-controlled, so it works in rain or summer heat. During the day it's relaxed sightseeing; at night the city lights make it more atmospheric. Expect a short line if you book ahead, longer if you show up on a weekend evening.

Best time is late afternoon into dusk from spring through fall. Sunsets can be excellent, and the transition to city lights is the sweet spot. Summer is hot but the AC helps; winter is surprisingly pleasant if it's not windy. Expect to pay around $35-55 per person for a standard cabin. Private gondolas or "SkyPod" options run higher, usually $200-300 for the whole cabin.
