Speakeasy Murder Mystery in Orlando: Worth It?

It's an interactive 1920s-themed murder mystery dinner show where you enter through a hidden door into a dimly lit speakeasy. Expect a three-course meal served while actors play out a comedic whodunit. You'll be encouraged (but not forced) to interact, ask questions, and help solve the crime. The show runs about 2–2.5 hours. It's fun if you enjoy light theater and audience participation, but it can feel cheesy if you're not in the mood for campy performances and singing.

Best time is January–April when crowds are lighter and Orlando weather is nicest. Avoid peak summer and holiday weeks unless you like packed rooms. Expect to pay around $65–$95 per person including dinner and the show; drinks are almost always extra and add up quickly. The higher end usually gets you a better seat and slightly better meal.

Tip: Book a mid-week show if possible — weekends get rowdier and service slows down. Skip the cheapest basic ticket; spring for one that includes a better table and at least one included cocktail. Go hungry — the food is decent for this type of show but not life-changing.
