Expect a mix of adrenaline and moderate physical effort. You'll spend a couple of hours moving through the forest canopy on ziplines, bridges, a Tarzan swing, and a rappel. The terrain includes some uphill hiking between platforms; it's not a passive ride. Platforms sit high in tall trees with decent views of surrounding hills and occasional wildlife if you're quiet. Groups are small, guides are safety-focused, and the whole thing usually runs 2.5–3.5 hours including transport and briefing. It's family-friendly for kids over about 8 or 40kg, but younger or less mobile travelers may find the hike tiring.
Best time is the dry season (December to April) when trails are less slippery and you won't be soaked before you start. Expect to pay around $65–110 per person depending on whether you choose the shorter zipline-only option or the full package with extra elements. Add transport from San José if you need it.
Pick the full circuit if you want the Tarzan swing and rappel; they're the most memorable parts. Skip the add-on night tour unless you're staying locally—it's extra money for basically the same routes with headlamps. Bring water, closed shoes, and a lightweight rain jacket even in dry season; the forest can still drip.
