You sit inside a glass tunnel or dome 5-10 meters below the surface while reef fish, rays, and sometimes small sharks drift past your table. The experience is calm and surprisingly quiet; most places keep lighting low so you can see the marine life better. Food is usually a set tasting menu – expect decent to very good seafood-focused dishes, but the real point is the view, not Michelin-level cooking. It lasts about 90 minutes and feels genuinely special if the visibility is good, less so if the water is cloudy.

Best time is December to April when seas are calmer and visibility often exceeds 20 meters. June to November is cheaper and quieter but has higher chance of rain and lower visibility. Expect to pay around $300–$550 per person for the meal, drinks extra. Some resorts include a basic non-alcoholic package; others charge heavily for wine pairing.

Pick the lunch sitting if you want brighter natural light and better photos. Skip the wine pairing unless you really want to splurge – house wines are often average and the markups are steep. If you're prone to claustrophobia or seasickness, think twice; the space is confined and the structure can sway slightly in rougher water.
