
Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge protects more than 48,000 acres of southern New Jersey coastal habitat, with over 82 percent composed of salt marsh and shallow coves. Visitors come to experience an 8-mile Wildlife Drive with excellent birding opportunities, scenic trails through coastal wetlands, wildlife observation towers, and a boardwalk over the salt marsh, with over 360 bird species recorded at the refuge.
