
Höfði is a 1909 Jugendstil house in Reykjavík best known as the site of the 1986 summit between U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev, an important step toward ending the Cold War. Now owned by the City of Reykjavík, the house is used for formal receptions and festive occasions, with U.S. and Soviet flags displayed inside to commemorate the historic meeting.
