Haji Ali Dargah is a Sufi shrine and mosque built in 1431 on a rocky islet in the Arabian Sea, containing the tomb of Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, a 15th-century merchant saint from Uzbekistan. Visitors walk across a narrow 1km causeway (accessible only at low tide) to reach the Indo-Islamic structure, which features marble pillars with intricate mirror work and kaleidoscopic glass patterns, and serves as a major pilgrimage site where people of all faiths come to receive blessings.
