Independence Palace, also known as Reunification Hall, is a Vietnamese modernist landmark that served as the presidential residence and workplace until the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, when North Vietnamese forces ended the Vietnam War by breaching its gates. The palace is now preserved as a convention hall for state events and a public museum, featuring the president's office, war room, banquet chamber, and a North Vietnamese tank in the gardens.
