The Chapel of the Magi is a 15th-century private chapel on the first floor of Palazzo Medici Riccardi, designed by Michelozzo with a gilded wooden ceiling and frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli depicting the journey of the Magi. Visitors see intricately detailed walls covered with the procession of the three kings toward the Christ Child, populated with historically significant figures of the Medici era including Cosimo and Piero de' Medici, Lorenzo, Giuliano, and Pope Pius II.
