
Opened in 1958, Zoo São Paulo spans 47 hectares and houses more than 230 species of native and exotic animals including lions, maned wolves, golden lion tamarins, spectacled bears, chimpanzees, elephants, rhinos, and hippos. The zoo operates as a biodiversity conservation center focused on scientific research, education, species conservation, and connecting people with nature through leisure experiences.
