Shinjuku Gyoen is one of Tokyo's largest parks, featuring three distinct garden styles—traditional Japanese landscape gardens with ponds and pavilions, a formal French garden, and an English-style garden—along with forested areas and a greenhouse. Visitors come to experience cherry blossoms in spring (late March to early April with over 400 trees), chrysanthemum exhibits in November, and vibrant autumn maple foliage, or simply to walk meandering paths and enjoy tranquil scenery steps away from central Shinjuku Station.
