The Pueblo of Tesuque has existed in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains since as early as 1200 AD and is one of the smallest pueblos in New Mexico with around 800 residents occupying more than 17,000 acres. Visitors can experience traditional Pueblo culture, including year-round traditional ceremonies and the annual feast day of San Diego on November 12, while observing the pueblo's historic landscape that has inspired Native artists for centuries.
