Book this experience →

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is a wilderness preserve nestled within urban San Diego that protects the nation's rarest pine tree, the Torrey pine, along with one of the last salt marshes and waterfowl refuges in Southern California. Visitors hike through wind-sculpted pine stands along clifftop trails overlooking the ocean, explore a visitor center housed in a 1923 pueblo-style building, and observe wildlife including California quail and seasonal wildflowers.
