What to expect
You sit inches above the water in a stable double kayak, the only sound your paddle dripping and distant ice cracking. Guides route the group around grounded bergs and away from unstable ice cliffs, sometimes pausing as a minke whale surfaces nearby. The scale of the ice becomes visceral, walls of blue-white towering directly overhead.
