Weave a Zodiac through house-sized icebergs calved from the world's largest fjord system. Nothing rivals being at water level beneath the ice.
What to expect
You board an inflatable Zodiac in small groups and glide silently past towering blue-white ice walls, some over 100 meters tall. Guides cut the engine periodically so you can hear the ice crack and settle. Wildlife such as ringed seals or seabirds often appear near the ice edge. The route changes daily based on ice conditions, so no two outings are alike.
Good to know
Weather-dependent; dress in layers with waterproof outerwear. Book the earliest morning slot for calmest water and best light. Coordinate timing with your ship's return schedule as Zodiac ops can run long if ice conditions are favorable.
