What to expect
You walk along a long crescent of dark-gold sand shaded by sea grape and coconut trees, with the swell here reliably gentler than on the Atlantic coast. A handful of local ti-punch shacks open by mid-morning if you want a coconut water or rum stop. It's the beach locals actually use, not a resort strip.
