What to expect
You're driven out to a reindeer enclosure in the forest outside Umeå, where a Sami herder explains the seasonal migration and lets you help with feeding. Over an open fire, you share fika and hear firsthand stories about land rights and modern Sami life. The afternoon includes a hands-on craft demonstration and a joik performance. It's intimate, unpolished, and the most memorable few hours in the region.
