Pasajes San Juan: Fishing Village Walk with a Local

Wander the impossibly narrow, colour-washed quay of Pasai San Juan with someone who grew up there, learning why Victor Hugo called it the strangest, most charming corner of Spain.

What to expect

You start at the tiny passenger ferry that has crossed the harbour mouth for centuries, then thread single-file lanes where houses lean out to almost touch. Your guide points out Victor Hugo's old balcony and the shipwrights' workshops still in use. It ends with a glass of txakoli at a family-run bar on the water.
