Trek one of Michigan's most celebrated river-corridor trails through old-growth forest to a dramatic suspension bridge over the Manistee River — a true wilderness moment less than an hour from Cadillac. Guided, private, and magnificent.
What to expect
Your expert naturalist guide drives you from the Cadillac waterfront to the north trailhead of the Manistee River Trail, where towering white pines and sugar maples close over the path almost immediately. The trail follows a bluff above the tea-coloured river, descending to cross the iconic swinging suspension bridge — a jaw-dropping moment above the rushing current. Wildflowers, ferns, and wildlife (black bear, bald eagle, and river otter are all resident) punctuate the route. A gourmet packed picnic sourced from local Cadillac purveyors rounds out the morning.
Good to know
