Wade into a sheltered Caribbean sandbar where southern stingrays glide between your feet, guided by expert marine handlers — then snorkel a nearby reef teeming with tropical fish. Up-close, tactile wildlife magic in one of Antigua's most memorable natural settings.
What to expect
A short boat ride from the dock brings you to the calm, knee-deep sandbar where the rays congregate, conditioned to human presence and completely docile. Your handler introduces you to the animals, explains their biology and behaviour, and guides you on how to hold and interact with them safely. After the stingray encounter, the boat moves to a nearby reef for a guided snorkel where you'll spot sergeant majors, angelfish, and parrotfish darting through the coral. The full experience lasts around two hours and is exhilarating for guests of all ages.
Good to know
Transfers from the cruise pier can be arranged directly with the operator. The experience is suitable for non-swimmers — the stingray sandbar is waist-deep at most. Book at least 2–3 days ahead in peak season. Remove all jewellery before entering the water; it can attract the rays unexpectedly.
