Walk the only intact pearling heritage trail in the Arab Gulf — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — with an expert local guide who brings Bahrain's legendary pearl-diving civilization to vivid life. This is the archipelago's single most irreplaceable cultural experience.
What to expect
Your private guide meets you and navigates the 3.5 km seafront trail, pausing at the Bin Matar House, the Siyadi Mosque, and the historic dhow harbour. You'll hear first-person family histories of the pearl trade and handle replica diving tools. The route concludes at a traditional tea-house in Muharraq's old quarter. Expect 2.5–3 hours on foot; the path is flat and shaded in parts.
Good to know
Book at least 48 hours ahead; private departure times are flexible so you can tailor the start to your ship's schedule. Muharraq is a 15-minute taxi from the Khalifa Bin Salman Port. All-aboard typically 6 pm — this tour fits comfortably in a morning slot.
