Pedal the legendary Danube Cycle Path through one of UNESCO's great river landscapes, from Grein to the fairy-tale Persenbeug Castle on a guided private e-bike tour. Rolling vineyards, apricot orchards, and medieval villages line a route that is breathtaking in any season.
What to expect
The EuroVelo 6 Danube Cycle Path is pancake-flat along this stretch, making e-bikes the perfect luxury for any fitness level. Your guide leads you past riverside meadows and beneath the towering walls of Persenbeug Castle (still inhabited by the Habsburg-Lorraine family) before a local Heuriger lunch of Mostviertler cider and smoked trout. The return is equally scenic, with the afternoon light turning the Danube to hammered gold. Total distance: approximately 20 km round trip.
