Clip into an iron-rung via ferrata route ascending the rocky headland above Saint-Pancrace Bay for vertiginous views over the St. Lawrence — one of the most dramatic vantage points on the entire Côte-Nord coastline.
What to expect
Your guide fits you with a full harness and helmet at the base of the cliff, then leads you up a series of iron rungs, cables, and natural ledges bolted into the Precambrian rock face. The climbing itself is exhilarating but not extreme — the guide sets a pace that suits the group. At the summit belvedere, the view across Baie Saint-Pancrace and the broad St. Lawrence is genuinely breathtaking; on clear days the south shore and distant Appalachians are visible. A gentler trail descent returns you to the car park for a celebratory coffee.
