Caracalla's vast indoor-outdoor thermal landscape centres on a series of interconnected pools filled with Baden-Baden's legendary natural mineral water, heated to between 18°C and 36°C. Inside, carved-stone grotto jets, a powerful thermal cascade, and a meandering warm-water 'river' provide endless hydrotherapy. Book tickets in advance via the Carasana official website, especially for peak season and port days. Swimwear required in the pool areas (Sauna World is clothing-free). Towel rental is available on-site. Caracalla is a 5-minute walk from Friedrichsbad in the heart of the spa quarter — the two together make a perfect full spa day if time allows. Allow at least 3 hours to do the experience justice.
