Step into a local Aruban kitchen for an intimate hands-on class crafting keshi yena, fresh pan bati flatbread, and island rum cocktails — guided by a chef who grew up eating these recipes. The most delicious two hours you'll spend in the Caribbean.
What to expect
Arrive at Screaming Eagle's iconic, design-forward venue just outside Oranjestad and be greeted with a welcome cocktail before donning your apron. The chef walks you through the cultural history of Aruba's cuisine — African, Dutch, and indigenous Arawak threads — as you prepare keshi yena (Gouda stuffed with spiced chicken), pan bati cornbread, and a dessert of Aruba-style coconut flan. The cocktail segment pairs each dish with a rum or local spirit blend you'll mix yourself. Sit down, feast, and take home a recipe card.
