The ship’s version of the same jeep or catamaran experience typically costs 40-70% more once you add the convenience premium. It becomes the better buy only when you value a guaranteed return to the ship with no margin for error — especially useful on tight all-aboard days or if mobility is a factor. The rugged jeep safari and the horse ride both involve uneven terrain; the ship’s transfer and liability wrapper can feel worth the markup there. At USD 99 per person with 9,656 reviews it is the best-tested way to actually see the arid, cactus-studded interior that most day-trippers miss. The ship’s equivalent will cost more and move slower; the independent version gets you there, gets you dirty, gets you back, and leaves money in your pocket for a cold drink at the pier bar before all-aboard.
