Float through ancient rainforest gorges on the Navua River, plunge into a cascading waterfall pool, then feast on a village lunch. This is the defining Fijian adventure — raw jungle, warm hosts, and total immersion in island life.
What to expect
After a scenic transfer from the port, you board a traditional punt up the Upper Navua River, flanked by sheer volcanic cliffs draped in jungle. At the waterfall you swim in crystal pools before climbing in to rubber tubes for a thrilling drift downstream. A village host family presents a generous Fijian lunch of kokoda, roti and root vegetables; a kava ceremony closes the meal. The journey back to the ship follows spectacular river bends you'll remember for years.
Good to know
Full day — typically 8 hrs from the pier; confirm your ship's all-aboard time and arrange port pick-up directly with Rivers Fiji. Bring river shoes, a dry-bag, reef-safe sunscreen and a change of clothes. Book at least 2 weeks ahead; this experience sells out on port days.
