Dive or snorkel alongside sharks, rays, and vibrant reef fish inside The Florida Aquarium's stunning coral reef gallery — one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters available in the American Southeast.
What to expect
After a thorough briefing with the aquarium's professional dive team, you kit up and slip beneath the surface of the massive Coral Reef Gallery. The tank replicates a 60-foot-deep Indo-Pacific reef with extraordinary biodiversity. Sand tiger sharks glide past with serene indifference; moray eels peer from coral heads; sea turtles drift overhead. The aquarist guides interpret every species in real time, making this as educational as it is thrilling. Snorkelers experience the same tank from the surface with a mask and wetsuit. Underwater photography packages available.

The Florida Aquarium is a 10-minute taxi from the Tampa cruise terminal — extremely convenient. Pre-booking the dive/snorkel experience is essential as sessions sell out weeks in advance. Certified divers must present a C-card. General aquarium admission is included in the dive fee.
