Spinnaker Tower: Sky-High Views Over the Solent

Ascend Portsmouth's iconic 170-metre Spinnaker Tower for panoramic 360° views stretching across the Solent to the Isle of Wight — on a clear day, you can see for 37 miles. Step onto the glass floor for a breathtaking moment above the harbour.

What to expect

A high-speed lift whisks you to Deck 2 for uninterrupted Solent panoramas. Brave the glass floor panels of the Sky Walk on Deck 1 for a vertiginous thrill, then sip a coffee in the tower's café while watching ferries and naval vessels thread through the harbour below. The Gunwharf Quays waterfront at the base offers excellent waterside dining for a post-tower lunch.

Good to know

The tower is a very short walk from the cruise terminal through Gunwharf Quays — combine with harbour shopping or a waterfront lunch. Pre-book online to avoid queues, especially on busy port days. Allow 1–1.5 hours. Visibility information is posted on the tower's website and social channels.
