Thunder over Tutea Falls — at 7 metres, the world's highest commercially rafted waterfall — on the Kaituna River, guided by Kaitiaki Adventures' award-winning team. The most thrilling 90 minutes in the North Island.
What to expect
You gear up at the riverside base before launching onto the Kaituna's boulder-strewn rapids. The river builds through Grade 3 and 4 sections, each one a roaring rehearsal for the vertical plunge over Tutea Falls. The thunderous drop draws a collective gasp before the raft resurfaces and celebration erupts. A further sequence of rapids follows before you exit at the valley base, buzzing with adrenaline.
