Pigeon Point Heritage Beach: Tobago's Iconic Caribbean Shoreline

Spend a glorious half-day at Tobago's most photographed beach — powdery white sand, a thatched jetty over jewel-blue water, and world-class snorkelling on the Buccoo Reef approach.

What to expect

The iconic thatched jetty stretching into translucent Caribbean water is every bit as postcard-perfect in person. Calm, shallow water makes it ideal for snorkelling over sea fans and parrotfish just offshore. Chic beach bars serve fresh coconut water and rum punches; the facilities are impeccable by Caribbean standards. The western light in the afternoon turns the water a surreal shade of aquamarine — pure luxury with no effort required.

Good to know

Pigeon Point is just 10–12 minutes by taxi from Scarborough port — one of the closest premium beaches to the pier. Taxis wait at the port gate; negotiate a return pick-up time. The beach can get busy midday; arrive by 9 am for the best experience. Bring reef-safe sunscreen.
