Descend into To Sua — Samoa's most jaw-dropping natural wonder — a luminous 30-metre ocean trench connected to the sea by a lava-tube tunnel. Pair it with Sopoaga & Togitogiga Falls and the ethereal Piula Cave Pool for a day that defines the South Pacific.
What to expect
Your private guide collects you at the Apia wharf and whisks you along the scenic south coast to To Sua, where a steep wooden ladder drops you into an impossibly turquoise lagoon open to the sky. You then wind through Lotofaga village to the thundering Sopoaga Falls lookout and cool off in the sacred freshwater cave pool beneath Piula Methodist College. Local tropical-fruit refreshments and cultural commentary fill every transfer.
Good to know
Full day; typically 8 am – 4 pm, giving comfortable buffer before most all-aboard times. Book direct well ahead as group sizes are capped. Wear water shoes and bring a dry bag; the ladder at To Sua is steep — not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
