Circumnavigate Spetses aboard a traditional wooden kaïki — the island's iconic caïque — stopping at secluded coves, sea caves, and pristine beaches accessible only by water. This is the Aegean as it was always meant to be experienced.
What to expect
You board a lovingly maintained traditional kaïki at the Old Harbour (Palio Limani) and set off around the pine-forested coastline that inspired John Fowles' novel 'The Magus.' The captain navigates to Agia Paraskevi Beach, then rounds to hidden coves on the island's wild western shore, where you swim in crystal-clear water over white rock. Snorkelling equipment, sun beds, and refreshments are typically included. The return to port is timed precisely to your all-aboard window.
Good to know
Depart from Palio Limani (Old Harbour), a 10-minute horse-carriage or bicycle ride from the main port. Pre-book 3–5 days ahead in July–August. Confirm all-aboard time with the captain at the outset — Spetses captains are reliably punctual.
