Hike above Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to Cerro Tijeretas, the only place on Earth where both magnificent and great frigatebirds nest side by side. Panoramic Pacific views and Darwin's first Galápagos landfall await.
What to expect
Your licensed naturalist meets you steps from the dock and leads you up a well-maintained trail through dry scrub forest teeming with lava lizards and Galápagos mockingbirds. At the summit, hundreds of frigatebirds wheel overhead and males inflate their scarlet throat pouches in spectacular courtship displays. Below, a crystal-clear snorkeling cove offers an optional swim with sea lions. The panorama across the San Cristóbal channel is genuinely breath-taking.
