Wade into warm turquoise shallows to feed and swim with Grand Bahama's own resident free-roaming pigs on a picture-perfect sandbar. The most photographed, laugh-out-loud bucket-list wildlife moment in the Bahamas.
What to expect
A short boat ride carries your small group to a shallow, sun-drenched sandbar where semi-tame pigs splash out to greet you in waist-deep water. Your guide briefs you on safe, respectful interaction and hands out snacks to feed them. The crystal-clear setting — white sand, electric-blue sea, squealing pigs — produces the most shareable photos of any Bahamian port day. Snorkelling time over a nearby reef is often included.
Good to know
Wear a swimsuit and bring a waterproof phone case or underwater camera — you will want every angle. The excursion runs approximately 3–4 hours. Pre-booking is essential; this experience sells out weeks in advance on busy port days.
