A bespoke private tour along Crete's most glamorous coastline — the 'Cretan Riviera' — stopping at the chic harbour of Elounda, the fishing village of Plaka, and Spinalonga Island, all rounded off with a long, leisurely lunch by the water.
What to expect
Your private vehicle departs Agios Nikolaos and follows the impossibly scenic coast road north, pausing at clifftop viewpoints over the Gulf of Mirabello. In Elounda, stroll the harbour and perhaps peer across to the private island of Spinalonga from the water's edge. The route continues to Plaka, a tiny whitewashed fishing hamlet where your table is reserved at a hand-picked seafront taverna — expect fresh-caught fish, Cretan salads, and chilled local wine at the wave's edge. After lunch, a short boat crossing to Spinalonga allows a private guided walk of the Venetian fortress before your driver returns you to port.
Good to know
Elounda is just 12 km from Agios Nikolaos — an easy 20-min drive. The full experience runs approx. 6–7 hours. Confirm your all-aboard time and communicate it to your guide; private tours are flexible and can be tailored exactly. Lunch is typically included; confirm dietary requirements at booking.
