Descend into the emerald gorge of Polylimnio — a chain of 17 crystalline natural pools linked by waterfalls and ancient plane trees — on a guided canyoning and swimming journey through one of the Peloponnese's most breathtaking natural secrets.
What to expect
The canyon approach winds through wildflower meadows and ancient woodland before the gorge reveals itself: a succession of turquoise pools, each one clearer than the last, connected by cascades you wade, swim, and occasionally abseil between. Your guide handles all safety equipment and reads the canyon's seasonal water levels expertly. The highlight is the largest falls — roughly 15 metres — where mist hangs in the air and the acoustics of the gorge create an almost cathedral atmosphere. A local picnic lunch is typically arranged on a flat boulder above the pools.
