Walk the world-famous Caminito del Rey — a breathtaking 7.7 km mountain trail pinned to the walls of the El Chorro gorge, with sheer 700-metre drops and suspension bridges that will redefine your idea of spectacular. One of Spain's greatest natural thrills.
What to expect
Your private vehicle collects you at the marina and travels inland through the dramatic Málaga hinterland to the El Chorro gorge — about 50 minutes from Puerto Banús. A knowledgeable local guide accompanies you along the reconstructed boardwalk trail, suspended hundreds of metres above the Guadalhorce river, navigating tunnels, cliff-face paths, and a vertiginous suspension bridge. The geology, flora, and the trail's legendary history as a workers' path built in 1905 unfold in vivid detail. The trail exits at a different point; your driver meets you at the finish for a smooth return to port.
Good to know
Trail tickets MUST be pre-booked on the official Caminito del Rey website — they sell out weeks ahead in peak season. The walk is one-way (approx. 3–4 hrs including approach path); coordinate your port day carefully and allow 6–7 hours total. Sturdy closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and water are essential. Not suitable for passengers with a fear of heights or limited mobility.
